He had a son, Jr. who MAY have died in infancy. A niece of his said that nothing much was known of his family, only that he had "gone west". She knew that he had at least one daughter, who had married a HOPKINS. I met the daughter of that daughter, but she was not very familiar with the family and now she is deceased (she returned to Lewisburg, TN, where Andrew Jackson Powell had been born, and I believe that is where she died). My thinking is that the Andrew Jackson Powell to whom you refer might have been the abov son purported to have died in infancy. Or, he could have been the son of one of AJPowell's other children.
