He married Sarah Turner about 1839 in South Hampton County, Virgina. Then they moved west to Shelby County, Tn, Arkansas, then about 1865 moved to Bokoshe, Oklahoma. Children were Anna, Sarah, Elizabeth, John W., Jules Augustus, Nancy, Cornelia, Lavinia, Wm. Edward, Ada, Ida, & Alice. Are any of these names family names? Have not been successful in finding Harris Powell's family in Virginia, would like any suggestions or help about finding his ancestry.
