    3. MJZ, What I tried to explain (maybe I confused you or didn't explain it clearly) that Durward published a book that he gave to me. I have that information. During his research, he compiled notes on brothers, and branches in order to obtain his own information. When I visited Kittrell months ago, I came into contact of a Powell, that connected me to him. He had information on my line (Edwin Powell). He explained to me that he no longer would be researching the lines leading to me, but I was welcomed to his notes on this. His current interest is with the lines leading back from his Robert Powell. Along with his book, and notebook full of his research done, he also sent me 14 pages of what he is currently researching, with his theories, etc. In which, he states that Mary Turkey was her name. Also, I read the Turkey name out of the Silas Lucas Book on the Powell's of VA and the South. I am now ISO this information for you, and am also going to contact him as I am sure he can give me quicker answers than I could look up. I am also very new to this, but eager to learn. If I have any info that I can share, I would enjoy contributing to you and I hope you would do the same. In essence, I hope that I haven't offended you as you seem to be much deeper into the genealogy than I at the moment. When I get word from Durward, I will email you with his response. Thank you for the tip on searching the old postings. ----- Original Message ----- From: <EDZIMM@aol.com> To: <POWELL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 31, 2005 3:13 PM Subject: Re: [POWELL] Edwin Powell s/o Thomas & Mary Turkey > > Katie: > Well this is indeed the "can of worms" Powell family discussion.
