Hello, I descend from Edwin Powell brother of Robert and William Powell. The sons of Thomas Powell of York County married to Mary Turkey. Edwin (Edward, Edmund) b ca1780 married Eliza (Betsy) York b ca1780 on July 15, 1799 in Franklin County, NC. 11 children: Lucy, Edwin Jr, Barbary, William, Temperance (Tempy), Patsy, Archibald, Ann, George W., Absalom Judge, Benjamin Hillyard.
