In researching JOHN H. POWELL who married Esther nee?. Has anyone found records to correct my notes? I have that: 1. The name HATHORN has only been found in a deed of 1850 MS Harrison County where the name JOHN HATHORN POWELL was used revealing the middle name of John Jr. son of John H. Powell. . . . . Has anyone found any record showing JOHN H. POWELL (c.1755-)'s middle name to be Hathorn. 2. Do any of the family records show the younger John H. Powell as John H. Powell Jr. I still have not found a record referring to him as Junior. If anyone has found these actual records can you post them? It would sure help.
