    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: powelladrian Surnames: Powell & Cranage Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.powell/6639/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi everyone, James Powell born 1803, Montgomeryshire, Wales was my x3 Grt Grandfather who married in 1827 Coreley, Shropshire Susannah Cranage born 1809, Coreley, Shropshire. I've been unable to trace James Powell any further back but I do know that a number of Powell's where living in Coreley and the area at the time of his marriage so I'm thinking he may have been related to them somehow. James profession was a Malster (mixed the hops and barley for the brewing of beers) which took the family to Ludlow and then later to the Black Country. My family still live in the Black Country area today. Is anyone else researching these people because if so I would love to share and discuss further. Kind regards Adrian Powell Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Hello Adrian, Would like to let you know that if you could get someone in your line of Powells to take the DNA Test, you could figure out what lines are in the US and in England or Wales or other countries. If you would like to contact me off line, [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> I would be able to get you in contact with the Family Tree DNA Project for the Powell in Houston Texas. In this way, you could find your members of your family easier than just sending a email, and hope someone will read it, and respond. Just trying to help. Our line of Powells are in this DNA and we have at least 14 matches, we just have to figure out how and where we are related. Well, hope to hear from you soon.
