Hello, Re: connecting POWELL-GRESHAM/GRISHAM/GRISSOM/N/LUMPKIN/HATTEN-HATTON-FORD-CALVIT/CALVET-LOTT-FAITH-JONES-McCARTY-SLAUGHTER-MUNN-ADAMS-LEE-WOMACK-SLAUGHTER- MYRICK-PARKER-HERRINGTON-STUCKEY-GRANTHAM I have recently found that I descend from POWELL lineage that was in Oglethorpe County, Georgia in 1806 with the marriage of my maternal 4th great grandmother, Lucy POWELL, who married my maternal 4th great grandfather, Barnett GRISHAM/GRESHAM, (son of Sarah LUMPKIN and John GRESHAM,) born: abt. 1787 in King & Queen County, Virginia with his father, John GRESHAM having been born March 20, 1741 in King & Queen County, Virginia so it may also be that Lucy POWELL's family was out of King & Queen County, Virginia before Oglethorpe County, Virginia but have no info on any other POWELL names.
