I am searching for ancestors of Elisha Smith Powell, b. NC in 1793. In 1817 in Lincoln County Tn he married Rosse Murry (b. Buncombe County NC to William and Rachael Murry). By 1830 they lived in McNairy County Tn near Purdy. She died in 1839. In 1845, he with three of their children moved to Texas. He was a Methodist Minister in Tn and Tx. He died 1866 in Fayette County, Tx. Bob Powell
