Do you have any knowledge of the Powell/Bynum families that came from VA to Rabun Co, GA, to AL? I have a William Powell b abt 1816 VA, m Annie Mary Bowers b abt 1815 VA. This Powell family has Bynums marrying in different generations. I am told that George Powell of Blount Co, AL is of this line. I'm told that he is written up in GLIMPSES OF THE PAST, BLOUNT CO, AL a biography of George Powell. Do you know anything about this family? I look forward to hearing from you. My earliest Known Powell ancestor is Wm 1816-bef 1880, b VA, d probably Rabuuun Co, GA, m Ane Mary Bowers . Chikdren and spouses: 1. Henry 2. Ann m Wm Galloway 3. John Calvin m Mary Jane Underwood my line 4. Susan J. m Jesse BYNUM 5. Martha m Mr Bottoms 6. Elizabeth m Mr Adkins The family moved to Rabun Co, GA fro VA. I believe they were in NC before Rabun Co.
