These are from the Achieves of Va and they are called the Edward Valentine Papers- There are over 2000 pages in these transcripts and I am sorry I wish I knew who to give credit too- One section is titled Harden's Will. This is the Will of Samuel Harden not dated wife is Elizabeth Harden and minor children are not mentioned. Guardian is Edward Mc Carthy. Wit: are Thomas and John Powell, Brunswich Co.recorded 10-04-1732. Even though the document were pulled from Va. The land mentioned is 640 acres in Nc - Brunswich Co is mentioned -so my guess would be as the land is in Nc that is where the Co might be rather than Va. Below same documents but note the difference in the spelling of the name. W.B. 1-p.85 William Hardin later sells 130 acres to William Powell Fountain Creek Brunswick Co. former owner John Lynch, Deed 10-18- 1748. --D.B4p.183 06-27-1750. These have the heading of the Hardy Family. These are not my Powells. I just came across the them on researching another line. Hope this might help someone.
