Katie...I looked at this file many years ago and could not find the reference he gave for the Sawyers..before 1730......but it is worth a look see as there were so many Powells and the Moses Powell line were named the same thing over and over again.....and they were everywhere. I think one just learns to research by doing and asking questions. Of course with the internet it makes sharing information so much easier.
