Hi Sam. When I go back I will be sure to look more. These Counties were all changing around this time. I did pull the deed abstract name index for Craven County and the following Powells names were found, but have not looked at any of the deeds. Capt. John Powell and a John Powell, many, many deed references for Craven. Ann, Capt (maybe John), Fielder, Goerge, Margaret, Moss, Osborn, Phebe, Pherebe, Sarah, William Wilson. There is also a mention of Powells Creek.
