Hello Folk, I am a scouse, and born in West Derby, Liverpool now living in Australia. My Powell line came from Knowsley with my dad running a farm given to him as Grace & Favour by Lord Derby, and as long as a Powell lived there no one could chuck him off the land. Sid & Alice who we have met on our trips to the farm, they were given the option of buying it when dad died. Sidney & Alice Powell bought the farm. Both are now dead, and we have yet to find out if it will be sold, or kept in the family. I have had contact with people in the USA who branch in with our Powells, their names include Marsden & Marshall. We would be glad to hear from anyone who is, or maybe interested in making contact.
