Hello List, In Walker Co. Ga., there is a John Lafayette Powell, married to an Adia Pettit. John was the son of Francis Marion Powell, Francis Marion Powell, was the son of Green Oliver Powell, and Green Oliver Powell is the Son of my Lewis R. Powell of Walker Co, Hall Co. Ga., and born in Virginia in 1792. Many surnames like Snider, Burke, Denton, Gilreath, Myre, Nelson, Green, Hobbs, Stewart, Herring, Pettit, Sells, Clements, Sitton, and many others. This is the the John Laffayett Powell that WLA is talking about. Thank you. Hello Pat: How are your? Yes, I just found the Sitton names in Spring Place Murray Co Ga As well as Walker and Dade Co. 1860 census. Looks like part of our line as well.
