Dennis and Jan, I had the same problem and contacted a technician. He told me to click forward and it would be there to open. So I can now open any that this happens to. Dennis and Jan - your problem is probably in your Outlook Express - have you recently updated it? I believe you need to go to tools, options, and security. There should be an option that says something to the effect that it won't let you open attachments that could potentially have viruses.
