Years ago I had corresponded with Elizabeth H Taylor who was researching the Powells and Harvills. At that time she told me that she hadn't proved it yet but suspected Elizabeth's parents were Jesse Powell and Charity Harvill. I have been searching everywhere and find no proof of this. Can you possibly point me to the right direction? In my search, I have gathered numerous bits and pieces on Powells and Harvills.
