I have not used the msg. board and don't know how it works, but here are my questions. 1. What is your source of info from earlier than 1850? 2. Could you list Lemuel's parents and siblings? 3. Do you have Bible records, wills? 4. Where did the story come from about Lemuel's death? I have the Census for 1860, 1870 and 1880 and the tax rolls thru 1884 with him listed. I am a gg-granddaughter to Lemuel and Martha Allbritton Benton that came to Texas from Simpson MS in 1850 to Trinity Co., TX. In 1860. They moved to Freestone C., 1870, then Angelina Co. 1880 in Texas. Some of the children moved to Anderson Co., TX. I have a tree on Ancestry called Baldwin and Benton Nov 2008.
