A cousin, Mildrerd Gray 2282 Hunting Valley Drive Decatur, Georgia 3003 is writing a book about the Messersmiths. I grew up in Wythe Co. VA. I think Elizabeth's parents were Nehemiah Powell and his wife was Margaret. I have recently contacted [email protected] He seems to have the Powells back several generatins.
