At sea enroute to Philadelphia, PA to join adult sons circa 1820-1840) and John Antrim (b. December 25, 1788, Gartbrengi Parish, Breconshire, Wales d. September 15, 1869, Butler County, Ohio, US) Thomas Powell, Sr.'s second marriage was to unknown in US. Children were Thomas, John, William and Elizabeth born in Butler County, Ohio. ********** Thomas Powell, Jr. (see above) married in Wales (date/parish unknown to Margaret maiden name unknown (b. ?, Wales d.?,US) Children: Thomas (b. ?, Wales d. ?) was last heard from while serving in the British Army at the Cape of Good Hope;Mary (b.?, Wales. d. ?) married and lived in Wales;John (b.?, Wales d.?) was a painter; David (b. ?, Wales. d. ?, US) emigrated to Port Carbon, Pa circa1820's; Watkins (b. ?, Wales. d. ?, US) emigrated to Port Carbon, Pa circa 1820's. *********** John Antrim Powell (see Thomas Powell above) first married in Wales (date/parish unknown) to Mary Bevan (b. 1794, Wales d. ?, Wales). John Antrim emigrated to Steubenville, Jefferson County, OH, US circa 1831-1833 and was followed by wife Mary and children circa1834. Children Mary (b. May 14,1827, South Wales. d. ?, US.), Cecilia Joesephine (b. May 3, 1829, South Wales d. September 13, 1908, Covington, KY, US), John Monroe (b. April 30, 1831, Parish of Gelligaer, County of Glamorgan at Bute Iron Works d. November 8 or 10, 1886, Cincinnati, Ohio, US); Watkin Evan (b. June 30, 1835 near Steubenville, Jefferson County, OH, US. d. July 30, 1893, Cincinnati, Ohio, US) and Elizabeth Kisner (b. September 11,1838, near Steubenville, Jefferson County, OH, US. d. ?, US.) John Antrim Powell's second marriage was to Eliza Rashell (b. ? d. ?) circa 1845 at an unknown US location. Children Thomas J. (b. November 7, 1846, College Corners, Butler County, OH, US d. ?) and William H. (b. ? d. ?) John Antrim traveled overland to California in 1849 and returned to Ohio in 1858. ********** John Monroe Powell (see John Antrim Powell entry above) married (date/location unknown) Margaret Finnie (b. circa 1822, Illinois, US d. ?) Children: Watkin Edward (b. September 29, 1876, US d. November 18, 1959, Norwood Heights, OH, US) and Warren John (b. January 21, 1879, Cincinnati, OH,US d. July 8, 1929, Decatur,Il, US). John Monroe Powell traveled overland to California in 1853 and may have joined his father John Antrim there. He returned from California circa1869, married and then traveled to California for a short time before returning to Cincinnati.
