Dennis was born in Lee Co. GA around 1831. I am trying to find the names of his parents and siblings. I believe his parents were from NC. I believe he had a brother named Nathan Powell and a cousin or brother named Daivd Byrd Powell. It is interesting that you have a John Byrd Powell listed in your line as well. There is an 1860 census which list other POWELLs living close to Dennis, so I think he may be related to them. Dennis Powell married Elizabeth Bozeman. Do any of these names sound familiar to you?
