I am glad you are enjoying the photo CD I made from Granddad's photographs. Every time I would go home on leave, he and I would sit down at the dinning room table and he would talk to be about the pictures. About five years before he died, I videotaped him telling me all of his stories about growing up. It was wonderful and I have started transcribing it. Someday, I hope to have a complete transcript. Unfortunately, the videotape got damaged when our basement flooded during a hurricane that passed through a couple of years ago. Mom has a good copy but it is second generation and I cannot make good copies from it. The sound track is good so I believe I can get a good transcription of his stories. Yes, I am Ed and Louise's eldest son but I have been away from FL for many years just like you. I was in the Air Force and then a federal civil servant for many years. Now I am retired but still not living in FL. I was down there when Hurricane Charley hit and Mom's house was badly damaged. I heard your mom was going to build a new house near Ken and Eileen. I was down there for about a week recently but did not get to stop by and visit since our schedule was so busy. I think I met you once when you were very young but I wouldn't expect you to remember.
