PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP? I am looking for information on Alexander Powell who lived for a time in Monroe Co., Miss. and then moved to Ala. then back to Miss. He was married on May 2, 1847 to Sarah Thrailkill who was born on Nov 28, 1829. She died in 1866 in Monroe Co., Miss. I heard that he died there too but I don't know when or where they are buried. I would like to find anything out about them that I can to see if I can find out who his parents were and where he came from. Sarah had a sister that married a Charles Powell and I think that he might be a brother to my Alexander Powell. There is nothing else on either one that I can find. I ran across a Alexander Powell that was born in 1771 in Hartford Co., NC, he married a Dorcas Deberry and he died in Telfair Co., GA. He had a son named Alexander who was born Jan. 6, 1807 in Wayne Co., Ga. The Alexander that was born in Ga. married a Elizabeth Anderson and had about 13 children, so I don't know if my Alexander was one of them or not. Then I ran across a Alexander Powell who was born April 17, 1786 in NC, he married Martha Browder in Tenn. I have 2 children listed so I don't know if they had anymore children or not. Some records show my Alexander born in Ga and some show him born in NC. If you can help in anyway Please PLEASE help me.. This has been my brickwall.
