My ggfather was Benjamin Willis Powell, gfather was Alonzo Welch Powell. Have found thru hear say that these names were used with both sets of children. Alonzo was born in Anderson , SC Dec. 22, 1879 and died in Vicksburg, MS. l944. Benjamin Willis Powell b. 1853,d.1907. mrd. Adaline Nally Benson....was told Benjamin had possible bro. Fred or Frederick. My father, Charles Jasper Powell had told that gggfather name poss. Marion. Any help from SC would be appreciated.
