Do you have any proof of the VA Powells. I can go back to Elias b. 1754 in Culpeper, moved to Orange Co. NC/VA, and Burke/Caldwell Co. where he died and is buried. He also had a brother named Robert. I have some documentation indicating John Powell and Mary O'Neal are Elias's parents, but from there it is a guess. -----Original Message----- From: powelldm@bellsouth.net [mailto:powelldm@bellsouth.net] Sent: Wednesday, December 22, 2004 6:56 PM To: POWELL-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: RE: [POWELL] Family DNA Jim That is great news about the new DNA list. I am going to participate in the 37 marker test in Jan. (maybe Feb. after all the Christmas bills- but sometime soon). I appreciate your leadership in this important endeavor. And, as one of the Powells said, it is the duty of the male Powells to do keep this going. Merry Christmas to all the Powell list. From a Georgia Powell, (through Robeson, Co.
