Actually Ed, I call her Ole Susannah, she has been with me a long time. yes, she does state she is from the Carolina's which one? most seem to come out of SC. BUT is she a Powell? or m. to a Powell? was she married at all? one of her dau's. says her father was John Powell. she is the only one to state this. she is lost to me too as she m. a Trout, divorced, in KS. lost her at that point. Susannah d. 1866. leaving all her ch. the other Susannah aged 6 may be a grand daughter, but there were three Susannah Powell's in this line. Susannah J. a dau. m. to Jesse A. Ferrel my husband's line. Susannah, the dau. of son John who dies in Vicksburg (civil war) bur. in common trench. her mother remarries &then we lose the dau. Susannah . so I will post what I have later today or in the morning. Thanks Ed, I have been on this list for a long time as I stated before BUT you just never know when something will turn up I see a Susannah Middleton but she is not from the Carolina's. but could she be the one?? you see what I mean? I am thankful to have this site to look at.
