I would be willing to bet my house that this is related family to my James Powell from Pitt County, NC that married into the Shivers family of Craven and Pitt County. I would like to see these deeds and reference them against deeds that James Powell's estate gave to James M Shivers and Repsey Powell dau of James Powell who died approx 1831. Other location known for James Powell is Halifax County, NC, Green County, NC. I would like to follow this thread of research for clues to my Powells of Craven and Pitt County.
