James married Priscilla Williams of Somerset county in 1804. He died In 1854. His sons, J.Dale, Samuel and Alexander Hamilton Powell All migrated to St Francisville La.I have been told that his father was Zadock Powell . I also have been told that his father was Nathaniel Powell of Virginia. I can't take the family back any further until I can con firm which is correct.
