There are two families. The side of the family you are researching starts with William Cashaway Powell. He was the father of Green Lafayette Powell who married Mary Jane Elliston and was the father of Charles Edward Powell. The other family is William Cashaway Powell's brother Green D. Powell who also had a son named Greene Lafayette Powell who married Mary Isabell Elliston and had a son named Charles Elliston Powell.
