I have the marriage certicate 3 Nov 1805 of his parents Benjamin Powell and Mary Edwards but unable to find any record of their place or date of birth. I also have the details of his Brothers John 1808 and William 1816. I have searched some of the Parish records for Brecon and the surrounding areas without success. but now feel they must have moved into the Brecon area some time before their marriage. Benjamin and his son Benjamin 1839 both worked as Boatrmen on the Brecon to Newport canal. If anyone can help with my research I would be most grateful.
