She was apparently the daughter of Louisa Chadick/Louis Blake Powell and was married to Frank Brown who died in California in 1941. Their son, Julius Powell (he later assumed the name Julius Caesar) Brown was my father (known as Jude Brown), born in 1914 in Texas, died in 1940 in Texas. I am really trying to find the Indian connection in our family; I thought it was the Chadick family, but maybe it is the Powells? I don't know what Indian nation; I have been told they were Cherokee.
