Maybe Watkin had been married previously and Lurinda went to live with a stepchild. The niece she was living with remarried and moved to Kansas and then Florida. In a letter written to Lurinda during the Civil War, this niece asked her aunt to remember her to her Uncle Wat and to Cora and Belle. I have no idea who Cora and Belle are. I thought maybe they were the wives of Watkins brothers as I think the Watkin Powells lived with them at least for a time. Thank you so much for your help and information.
