My research of all my grandfathers: Hubert Powell 1912-1986, Iseral/Isrel Powell 1887-1952, Champion Powell 1841-1925, Thomas J. Powell 1804-1860. Thomas is my most distant relative that I can confirm. He lived in Rabun County Georgia from (my best knowledge) 1840 I think until he died.
