My grandfather was James Hinton Childress Jr., his father James Hinton Childress Sr., his father Robert Holley Childress. It is my understanding that his wife was a Thompson. The Thompson was originally a Powell, daughter of Major William T Powell and Charity Powell. Any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated.
