But...the obituary for william in new castle, 03-30-1954 states his mom and dad were William and Mary Powell. So I do not think this is the correct william powell. my dad's 1st cousin, Doreen Evans, still lives in England, and she said that their parents were Samuel and Hannah. thanks for your help !
