I'm afraid I've been unable to trace any further back from James Powell born abt 1803 in Montgomeryshire. It's possible we're share the same ancestors but the surname Powell was a common one used around Montgomeryshire and Shropshire. The problem is James may have been born in Montgomeryshire but his parents could have relocated from anywhere. My research on the Powell family isn't going very well. It would be fantastic if I was related to the Powells you mentioned with all those titles. Take care.
