I'm looking for information regarding my great-grandmother Lura Powell Terry (born 1893) and her father Milligan Powell - both of which I know precious little. I found a 1910 census that may relate to my family. It listed a Lafayette M Powell living in Greene County, Missouri, with his wife Martha J. Louisa Lura was listed as his daughter and my g-gma lived and died in Springfield, Greene Co, MO. I was told Milligan was originally from Chattanooga, TN, but Georgia is listed as his place of birth on the record. I've also been told I have Choctaw and Cherokee heritage, but I have no idea if this is a possible source. Does this ring a bell for anyone?? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks, M.
