My grandmother went back to Vivian,La. with her two small childred, George Earl Powell(my father) and daught Mina Powell. They lived with her parents, Sam Williams. None of the above are still alive. I've been unable to trace James Powell any further back but I do know that a number of Powell's where living in Coreley and the area at the time of his marriage so I'm thinking he may have been related to them somehow. James profession was a Malster (mixed the hops and barley for the brewing of beers) which took the family to Ludlow and then later to the Black Country. My family still live in the Black Country area today. Is anyone else researching these people because if so I would love to share and discuss further.
