I agree entirely with Jo-Ann. No doubt many answers are available if the query was read. At minimum should be locality and time period. Productive research is the key. That's what this site is...searching for Powells...we need you to have more info in subject lines. I have never been able to understand what the site administrators don't complain about this problem. I think you can look for her father as Isaac Powell or Powers? and for her mother as Cecelia Taylor. He married 1) Mary Jones abt 1860, Mrs. Elizabeth White 9 Dec 1863, and Sarah abt 1893. He appears in the 1870 census in Shelby Co TN and after that in Saline Co. IL. He was a dentist. I show a Dr. David Powell b: abt 1535; from Berkshire, England. His son: Henry Esq. Powell b;1555, married Katherine Ann Herbert b;abt 1550.(she was born in Powis Castle, Montgomeryshire, Wales). Henry and Katherine had children: Sir Stephen b;1560. Stephen married Jane Jones. They had a son John Powell b:1580. Other sons: William,Nathaniel,Thomas. (don't have info on them). Sir Thomas b;1575. Thomas was knighted in 1624 at Theobalds. (I don't have any other info on Sir Thomas). I would love to connect with you and share what info you may have along this line.
