I have also have a family tree going back to this ancestor who came from France. One of his children, also named Jean, married Françoise Rose Otis (previously known as Françoise Rozotty) who is an Otis from Dover, New Hampshire. This girl was kidnapped by the Indians and brought to Québec along with her brother who eventually went back to the the U.S.A. Françoise apparently lived with a Parent family and was married in October 1669 in Beauport. All these facts were researched by a Grey nun sister born in Colorado and raised in Legal, Alberta. The Otis family originates from Great Britain. Small world is it not? All my documents are however in French and are available to you free of charge should you wish to go over them.
