She was married for nearly 58 years to the love of her life, Carmi J. Potvin. Mrs. Potvin was born July 29, 1921, in Frelighsburg, P.Q., Canada, the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Desmarais) Latimer. A wonderful homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, doing crossword puzzles, and collecting stamps. She was a parishioner at the Church of St. Mary in Bethel. Besides her devoted husband, she is survived by two sons, James C. Potvin of Brooklyn, Conn., Thomas Potvin and his wife, Sue, of Ludlow; four daughters, Patricia O'Dell and her companion, Andy Scott, of New Milford, Conn. and Enosburg Falls, Monica Yeamans and her husband, Peter, of Holland, Marshia King and her husband, William, of New Milford, and Barbara Fast and her husband, Mike, of Kent, Conn.; a sister, Dorothy Ledoux of Bethel, Conn.; a brother, Raymond Latimer and his wife, Marie, of Enosburg Falls; two aunts, Cecile Beauregard and Gabrielle Desmarais, both of Canada; two brothers-in-law, Louis Potvin and his wife, Nancy, of Essex Junction, and Romeo Potvin of Norwalk, Conn.; 12 grandchildren, Cindy Dubret and her husband, Tim, Leslie King, Bryan King, Gina Potvin, James Potvin Jr., Marissa Yeamans, Jessica Yeamans, Rebecca, Amanda and Sarah Yeamans, Michael Potvin and Nikolas Potvin; two stepgrandchildren, James King and his wife, Kate, and Kevin King and his wife, Myra; two greatgrandchildren; four step-greatgrandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Viola (Latimer) Potvin, a nephew, Reginald Latimer, and a granddaughter, Bridget Potvin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 20, at 11 a.m. in St. Isidores Catholic Church in Montgomery Center, Vt. Interment will follow in St. Isidores Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday, April 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, Vt.
