To me finding another Potvin has been something I just shrug my shoulders over. It's like saying 'Bostonian' - so many residents can claim that title. I know of at least six different surnames that have the dit POTVIN - and my original name (back to 1665) is ARPIN. My name is Jeannette Potvin ERICKSON, d/o Leo W and Aldona AINS. They married 23 June1924, Palmer, Mass. Paternal grandfather William of Worcester and Eudoxcie GAMACHE.. They married 20 June 1898, Palmer, Mass. Maternal grandfather Napoleon AINS/HAINS to Roseanne DUBOUR 30 Sept 1888, Chicopee, Mass. My grandfather Bill POTVIN and his siblings, called themselves PORTER when they came to the US and lived in the Worcester area. In 1914, only my grandfather returned to the use of POTVIN. Thus I may have some PORTER cousins someplace. I have some COMEAU (married to GAMACHE) - thus my Acadian heritage. My database is 11,000 plus and I'm willing to help where I can.
