My name is Zackari Daoust SANTORO, daughter of Francis Emil Nelson DAOUST and Florence Mary EZRO, married 26 April 1952 in Massena, New York. My mother's parents: Mary Rita WOOD & Lawrence EZRO (Hussereau/Usero) mother's grandparents: Joseph EZRO & Margaret PUDVAH m. 17 Jun 1902. Margaret's parents were Moses PUDVAH & Elizabeth DAME m. 25 Jul 1875. I have DAME's all the way back to when they came to Canada, but the PUDVAH line is a tough one. In the church record for Moses' marriage to Sophronia Auligny (Elizabeth DAME was (at least) his second wife) his parents were listed as: Oliverii PODEVIN and Flavioe BISHARD. Do they ring a bell for anyone?? I can't find them anywhere - and I've been looking for over ten years!!!. I have an unconfirmed birthdate (provided by another descendent) for Moses of 27 Sept 1849 - probably in Canada? He married Sophronia Auligny (d/o Peter Auligny & Marie NICHOLS) 6 Jan 1867 in St Pat's Church, Chateaugay, Franklin County, NY. She was buried 25 Jul 1874 in St Philamene Cemetary, Churubusco, Clinton County, NY. He then married Elizabeth/Isabelle Dame (d/o David Dam & Margaret Poupore) 25 Jul 1875 in St Pat's Church, Chateaugay, Franklin County, NY. His children from both marriages used "Pudvah" rather than Potvin / Podevin or any of the other variants. I have info on his descendents, but can't find any siblings or parents for Moses. He seems to have sprung from nowhere. I am searching Franklin and Clinton Counties in New York, as well as Canada and north-western Vermont along the NY border as his likely place of origin. Did anyone lose a Moses from their line? Zack
