    1. Santoro - Tracing Moses Pudvah
    2. My name is Zackari Daoust SANTORO, daughter of Francis Emil Nelson DAOUST and Florence Mary EZRO, married 26 April 1952 in Massena, New York. My mother's parents: Mary Rita WOOD & Lawrence EZRO (Hussereau/Usero) mother's grandparents: Joseph EZRO & Margaret PUDVAH m. 17 Jun 1902. Margaret's parents were Moses PUDVAH & Elizabeth DAME m. 25 Jul 1875. I have DAME's all the way back to when they came to Canada, but the PUDVAH line is a tough one. In the church record for Moses' marriage to Sophronia Auligny (Elizabeth DAME was (at least) his second wife) his parents were listed as: Oliverii PODEVIN and Flavioe BISHARD. Do they ring a bell for anyone?? I can't find them anywhere - and I've been looking for over ten years!!!. I have an unconfirmed birthdate (provided by another descendent) for Moses of 27 Sept 1849 - probably in Canada? He married Sophronia Auligny (d/o Peter Auligny & Marie NICHOLS) 6 Jan 1867 in St Pat's Church, Chateaugay, Franklin County, NY. She was buried 25 Jul 1874 in St Philamene Cemetary, Churubusco, Clinton County, NY. He then married Elizabeth/Isabelle Dame (d/o David Dam & Margaret Poupore) 25 Jul 1875 in St Pat's Church, Chateaugay, Franklin County, NY. His children from both marriages used "Pudvah" rather than Potvin / Podevin or any of the other variants. I have info on his descendents, but can't find any siblings or parents for Moses. He seems to have sprung from nowhere. I am searching Franklin and Clinton Counties in New York, as well as Canada and north-western Vermont along the NY border as his likely place of origin. Did anyone lose a Moses from their line? Zack
