I live In St.Isidore, Ontario and my g-grate grand father came to St.isidore in 1880 or sow. Their monument is in the St.isidore grave yard. His name was Onésime Montpetit maried to Félicité Poirier. Birth date 02/09/1854in St.Thimothée P.Q., married 11/01/1879 Father Antoine Montpetit Beauharnois P.Q.Mother Françoise Trudel. I had an aunt named Evon Potvin who was my late father's sister. My father's Ontario born name was Emile Jean Potvin. His father's name was Hormidas Potvin, born April 15, 1871 and his mother was Ellen Bordeaux, born July 6, 1871. Hormidas father's name was Joseph Potvin and he was married to Lucy Hug. My father's family immigrated to Vermont and farmed lands mainly in Franklin, Chittenden and Orleans County in Vermont. Due to some naturalization confusion, my father's surname became Pudvah. We are not related to any other Pudvah family. All of our relatives are Potvin. If this is helpful, please let me know.
