    3. Where in NE. did your Potters settle? Mine homesteaded in Phelps County, and some more went to Kearney and North Platte. Great grandfather was Albert R. Potter, son of Ephriam Potter. Albert brought his family to NE. from Woodford County, IL. I know that there are Potters in Lincoln, and some more who live up around Wahoo, NE. Ephriam was born August 24, 1796 some where in North Carolina, married Nancy Overbay in Tenn., and also lived in Harrison County, IN. Had eight children whom we can not find. Nancy died and is buried somewhere in Harrison County, IN, I think. Even Floyd County, perhaps. Ephriam married Elizabeth Hedrick in Harrison County Oct.15, 1835, and then moved to Woodford County, IL. Elizabeth was born June 3, 1817. Ephriam and Elizabeth had 10 children: Syana, Martha, Catherine, Abram, Marion, Candis, Elizabeth, Albert R., Col, T., and Frank G. Col T. died Aug. 15, 1854 age 2 years, and Catherine Horner died Oct. 31, 1866, age 29 years. As far as we know Nancy's eight went to IL. with Ephriam and Elizabeth. Ephriam's parents were Joseph Potter, born in 1769 in North Carolina and Lydia ? born ? El Paso, IL. history book says that his ancestors came from Holland in the 17th century. They are both buried in IL. Nancy and her eight children are a real puzzle. Have tried other spellings of Overbay in Tenn., and have not made any connection, and can not find anything on her eight children. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mary Berggren Fairmont, NE
