Looking for the parents of Thomas J. Potter. He was born in 1791 in Tennessee. He moved to Crawford County and then Dallas County Mo with his wife Elizabeth Wilkerson and one son, William Watson and daughter Phoebe in 1823. The Indians ran him back to Montgomery Ill, the next year. He and his family returned to Greene County MO where he settled with his family the next year near Strafford MO. He had four more Children. He died 1/24/1865 and is burried in Potter Cemetary 1 mile south of Strafford MO. He is burried next to his wife who died may 26, 1969 and his daughter Elisha who died May 16 1826.
