    3. Hello Everyone: I referred the virus concern to the list master at Rootsweb to see if the list could be causing the virus to be spread around. Her answer is below. Everyone should be alert to attachments sent via e-mail. If they are suspicious, do not open the attachment,even if they are from a safe source. Dale Hartz List Administrator. Here's how it works: on the infected person's computer, it collects addresses in incoming email, and sends itself to those addresses. So if the infected person is on a mailing list, yes, it will get all the *active* people on that list, simply because their address has been picked off their posts. As long as folks don't open attachments, *receiving* the email is no big deal (with all the folks who talk to listmaster, I average between 5-10 copies of Snowhite a day).
