Thank you all for your kind responses so far on Gilbert Potter-1809. What I know so far on the Gilbert Potter in our family Line:He must be a relative of my G/grandmother Caroline(Potter)Stevens.( I do not know her Parents-YET!)She was married to my G/Grandad-Adam Stevens/Stephens circa 1850-Pennsylvania area.Found her in the 1900 Census- living in Hollidaysburg, Blair Co. Pa.- Gilbert R.Potter did mining business with their son:Joseph P.Stevens(my grandad) circa 1895-1905-in Utah & Montana. I have obtained copies of those Patented claims & am getting the Patent applications from Wash D.C.- then will know more on the Potter family- will post that info when I get it.
