Hello list- Just TODAY I obtained a handwritten Marriage document dated 26th January-1809-Exactly 192 years old- for a Mr.Gilbert Potter M: to Miss Rachel Smith , both of Sterling,county of Windham-by Mr.John Wyliu- Justice of the Peace. What I propose is a collaborative effort, by anyone who wishes, to help figure out who this couple is & to develope a family history for them. I obtained it only because it was available & Gilbert Potter is a family name-relative I believe of my G/grandma Caroline(Potter)Stevens-don't know if this couple is even related!
