Samuel was born in London, England and died in Ferry MI. When the Honestead Act was passed in 1862, Samuel filed on 160 acres of land about 15 miles up the north branch of White River and two and a half miles south of the present town of Ferry, MI. On this homestead the last of their 10 children were born. I note that your George Henry Potter was born and buried in Ferry MI. I do not have a George Henry Potter - just the Ferry MI is interesting. If you think we have a connection I can send some more information.
