Does anyone know anything about Abraham Posey? His son, Andrew J. Posey was md. to Lottie E. Ellis. Their children were John B. Posey, Carol D. Posey, Vance F. Posey and Andrew J. Posey. An Abraham Posey was pvt. 7-29-1863 in Co. A, 66th. rgmt. Ga. Volunteer Infantry for Bibb and other counties. He died at Fair Ground Hospital #2, Atlanta, Ga. Dec. 5, 1863. Buried there in Oakland Cem. J.H.

He was an older barother of Bennett Posey; they were of Scotch descent; landed in Savannah, GA. Possibly father or grandfatehr of Chesley Posey (born 1827) who was age 23 in 1850 in Talbot Co., GA. Is supposed to have had a son named Abraham or Abram. And then on a younger Abraham: he was born ca. 1831 and daughter Ellen (born ca. 1855) were living in Talbot Co., GA on the 1860 census. Possibly he was a son of the immigrant, Abraham or Abram Posey. This is certainly not much to go on, but perhaps provides some clues you can follow up on.
